Why the Change?
- Because we've grown.
- And because saying Maryland Kitchen Design Center by Gramophone every time we answered the phone got to be a bit much.
What started as a kitchen and bath design center has become something much more: a full-service design-build firm with in-house construction, custom cabinetry, licensed electricians, and smart home expertise.
Today, we take on whole-home remodels, additions, basements, bathrooms, lighting design, technology integration, and more. We build stunning spaces—and handle every detail from concept to completion.
We needed a name that reflects the full range of what we do—and the way we do it.
Why Gramophone?
Our new name connects us more deeply with our roots—and our future. As a sister brand to Gramophone, Maryland's premier destination for home technology design and System Integration since 1976, we share the same legacy of craftsmanship, excellence, and experience.
The gramophone, a music playback device invented back in 1887, was a marvel of both design and engineering—beautiful to look at, groundbreaking in its time, and capable of bringing music, stories, and emotion into people’s homes.
